CO-FOUNDER & CEO
Erik Kopplin oversees all departments to ensure the team delivers an unmatched level of excellence to each and every client. His past experiences building over $1-billion in commercial and residential markets with top national builders has given him expert conflict-resolution skills. He's known for always setting high expectations for his team of architects, designers, and quality contractors—never tiring until a task or project is 100% complete.
Erik's approach at KCC is purposeful in that he genuinely cares about every client's mission, and is focused on leading them to success. He thrives in both the physical and mental challenge of the build industry, doing whatever it takes to get the job done and meet the deadline.
CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Chrissy Kopplin oversees design and development. She is a solutions-driven design executive offering over 15 years of global design experience with luxury brands. Having designed over 2,000 domestic and international projects across 90 countries, Chrissy understands what it takes to deliver projects on time and on budget. Her experience working with large corporations has allowed her to take the best practices and efficiencies developed at billion-dollar companies to benefit boutique projects with the individual business owner.
Her approach at KCC is unique in that she looks at each project both creatively and practically. As an experienced designer, she feels it is her responsibility to educate KCC Design + Build clients on the best design applications to suit their budget and project needs. She always designs into the client's budget, whether it be a one-off project or roll-out program.
DIRECTOR OF DESIGN
Vember manages design, development, and design procurement. After beginning her career working for top luxury brands in New York and Los Angeles, she made the creative leap into the entertainment industry where she worked with a wide array of studio and production clientele. With over 10 years of both domestic and international experience, Vember utilizes a diverse skill set to provide world-class design and unparalleled service to KCC's clients, helping interpret their vision while speaking the language of construction fluently.
She loves collaborating with KCC clients to build the narrative of their project together. By really listening to each client and approaching projects with a deep understanding of their vision, she has a holistic understanding of how to approach the design. She focuses not only on the beauty of the space, but pairs it with skillful advice on materials, design, and construction that will work operationally and last within each unique environment.
Giancarlo oversees West Coast Project Procurement as well as company and project financials. Growing up in Detroit with a family of concrete masons, Giancarlo is a 3rd generation builder.
He graduated from Michigan State University's Construction Management Program and spent 11 years working with a Top 10 National Commercial General Contractor. His goal at KCC Design + Build is to bring a world-class general contractor experience to a boutique market.
Giancarlo works with clients to make the development portion of the project less intimidating. He loves helping clients truly understand the process, while they watch their dreams come to life. Whether it's renovating a major airport terminal or building a boutique fitness studio, the goal is the same: provide solutions and deliver on client expectations.
DIRECTOR OF FIELD OPERATIONS
Jeff is responsible for oversight and management of West Coast Field Operations. He has always had an interest in the industry, working as a laborer and equipment operator for a small construction company at a young age. Eventually, he found his passion when he moved to an estimating role while attending Michigan State University. From there, he worked for just over 10 years with a Top 10 National Builder, working on commercial construction projects totaling over 1 billion dollars of work put in place.
Known for his expert communication skills paired with a deep understanding of all parts of the design + build process, Jeff thrives in the challenges of every unique project. He believes that communication is the key component in helping talented project teams complete successful projects. Jeff finds working with many different people, with different skills and backgrounds has always been extremely rewarding, fun, and interesting. Not to mention being able to see the tangible reward of completing a successful project, and knowing you had a part in it.
